Friendship Week Begins!

Make new friends but keep the old.  This phrase shined through today as kids had a chance to really show off their friendship skills.  We talked about ways to be a good friend and how to treat other people.

We had a special presentation from Colby, who is a soldier, and everyone got a special friendship coin from him which was a neat treat.

Everyone had a chance to leave their mark at camp as we work on designing a whole camp puzzle!  Each camper is designing a puzzle piece and when they are all complete, we will become one as the pieces fit together.

Please remember permission slips for our last field trip:

Learning About International Foods and Food Journal

Yesterday’s field trip was a huge success.  Everyone had tons of fun and got lots of exercise!

Today, we unfortunately were not able to go to the pool due to the weather.  However, as usual, we were able to make the most of a wet day.  We had a great presentation by Matt about international food, kids talked about healthy foods and some made food journals to keep track of the choices they are making about food.

Next week is the last week (it is amazing how quickly the time flies).  Our theme next week is Friendship.  We will end the week with our annual carnival!

There is an order form available on the website for anyone interested in purchasing a DVD slideshow which will bring together all of the memories we have made this summer!
