Today started character week off strong. It was a fantastic day for kids in the field – they were thrilled with the Mario Kart rides! We also got to race through the Slinky Dog tunnels and play bean bag alien, then cool down with water sprinklers.
At pick a project, our creativity shined with handmade puppet designs that the kids used over at the puppet theatre. Kids performed for each other, and over at the under the sea water sensory tables, we loved finding gems, mermaids, pirates, and treasure galore – some kids even made boats to add to the fun! They also enjoyed playing with a variety of superhero and other characters, building them towers and houses. Lots of character sticker projects were made as well.
At arts and crafts, the character fun continued with Heart of Te Fiti rock and shell painting. Beautiful Rapunzel lanterns and superhero masks were being enthusiastically made, and there were also wooden blocks to create characters with. Last but not least, Slinky Dog paper chains were crafted. What a great day!
