Talk about creations! During our pick a project time, the CITs and some Green group members helped make and create our Sunshine Town. Kids were able to visit various “shops” like an airport, comic book shop, tattoo parlor, theater, pet rock shop, ice cream store, and a jewelry store. Kids could earn tickets and trade them in at the toy shop for toys to bring home!

All of the groups had a great time exploring, engaging in free play, and creating today.

Tomorrow we are going swimming to accommodate for our field trip on Friday this week. Please remember to come in swim clothes tomorrow and put on sunscreen before heading to our program.

Today was our first day of Colorful Creations Week!

Our kids had tons of fun creating new crafts and games using color. Red group created their own picture frames using paper plates, tissue paper, and glitter. They also used the new geo blocks before doing an obstacle course on the basketball court and using water squirters to spray colored water. Orange group made sun catchers, played with a parachute, and had lots of fun on the playground. Yellow group had a blast bouncing the ball pit balls on the parachute, went on the waterslide, made colorful tie-dye t-shirts and played with water squirters to cool off. Green group made lava lamps at pick-a-project, played “the floor is lava” with colorful spots in the field, played Twister, and played basketball.

All groups followed an instructed frog pop-up craft, which was a big hit!

The Sunshine Group had another amazing day at the pond. It was cloudy but that didn’t stop us from having a blast with our friends and counselors! We played in the sand, played catch in the field and played on the playground. We also had a blast in the water playing catch, Marco Polo and swimming with friends. A few kiddos worked on digging a river in the sand.
