Last Day of Swimming at Hinkley Pond

Today was our last swimming day for the summer! We had so much fun in the sunshine and water. Kids jumped off the docks, played games of tag and splash, sang songs, and played in the sand. The playground was a huge hit again! Some went before swimming, and some went after. Everyone had so much fun!

Next week is Mystery Week! Get ready for some silly games and fun surprises!!

Thursday, August 4th, will be our Talent Show! Groups will be discussing ideas for acts, so think about what you might want to do.

Experiments Galore!

Today was a day filled with experiments, crafts, and explosions!

Red Group made slime, rainbows and paint bags. They played parachute games too!

Orange Group made marshmallow towers and lava lamps. In the field they played nucleus tag and rockets.

Yellow and Green Groups played a coding field game, secret lab, predator versus prey, and hot potato with a wet sponge! During craft they made their own bouncy balls, kaleidoscopes, and robots.

At the end of the day, everyone got together to see a presentation put on by the Yellow and Green Group counselors and kids – it was exploding Coke and mentos!
