The Daily Blog

In crafts today we made thanksgiving dinner plates, gratitude chains, skeleton hands, caterpillars, and beach umbrellas. Instead of field, the senior center shared a room with us so that we could escape the heat! We played with board games, mazes, robotic coding mice, and built things with legos.

In pick a project, we had a beach sensory bin, explored 3D sensory bags, and made shaving cream rainbows.

We also had special visitors! The Medway Police Department and Medway Fire Department came to visit! We got to see their equipment and meet Medway’s finest!

Our theme of the week was Sun-Sational Seasons! We enjoyed activities and games that were inspired by the 4 seasons – Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall.

In crafts we made scarecrow puppets, penguins, leaf rubbings, and popsicle stick turtles. In the field we had season-themed stations including pumpkin bowling, witch hat ring toss, beach ball bounce, reindeer antler toss, and garden hopping, to name a few! In pick a project we watered fake flowers, made stress balls, and made snow globes.

It was very hot today. Please make sure your children drink lots of water tonight! And send cold water tomorrow!

WOW! The Sunshine Group enjoyed another fantastic show produced by the Walpole Children’s Theater. We are always impressed by their talented actors! The set and costumes were also wonderful. After the show, we got to meet some of the cast! Thanks to Walpole Children’s Theater for hosting a sensory-friendly show!

Thanks to families for a great week! Next week we are back to our the schedule of field trip on Thursday and pool Friday!

For our trip next week to Southwick’s Zoo, we are extending the day to 1:00pm dismissal at Oakland Park so that we can enjoy more time at Southwicks Zoo! (It is so hard to get through the park without extending the day!) We hope to have parents join us for the trip! If you join us, you will get a fantastic discount of only $15 per ticket, and you could keep your child(ren) after our trip to enjoy the park for the rest of the day! Let us know if you will be joining us and we will add your ticket to our group!
