Sunshine Town!

Oakland Park was not Oakland Park today. It was transformed into Sunshine Town!

Our Yellow and Green Groups helped set up stations and activities for the town. Some of them ran the stations too! We had food (pizza, tacos, ice cream) and we had stores (a clothing store, grocery store, and toy store). Kids were able to get their hair, nails, and tattoos done at our salon and they also had the opportunity to dig up dinosaurs in our fossil station and fly airplanes at our airport!

We hope everyone enjoyed the town as much as we did 🙂

Tomorrow we will be swimming at Hinkley Pond in Medfield.

Community Helper Week Begins!

Community helper week started with a visit from the Medway Police and Fire Department! The kids got to see an ambulance, fire truck, motorcycle, and RTV. Moose, the emotional support Golden Retriever, came for a visit as well.

As for activities, Red Group created x-rays and pizzas during craft. They ended the day with some time on the playground!

Orange Group started their day with a choice of waterslide and playground. They spent some time in the sandbox in the middle of the day and ended their day with crafts. They made pizza recipes, decorated pizza boxes and wrote postcards.

Yellow and Green Groups played some awesome field games. At the end of the day, they had a choice between waterslide and playing basketball.

Our amazing volunteers helped set up for Sunshine Town tomorrow. We are SO excited!

Swimming, Swimming in the Pond!

The Sunshine Group has been SO flexible this summer!! We want to thank all campers and their families for their patience in finding a safe swimming spot of Friday.

Hinkley Pond was so much fun! There was swimming, swings, a playground, and massive tents to relax under. There was even a beach to play on.

We can’t wait to see everyone next week for Community Helper Week!
