A Great Day at the Movies!

We had a great time at the movies today!  Everyone enjoyed Planes Fire & Rescue.  It was a movie that was enjoyable for a wide range of ages.  With the volume down a bit and the lights a little brighter, it was a comfortable environment for everyone.

Tomorrow, we will start our day with the talent show at 9:30!  Campers have been practicing their performances all week.  After the show, we will head to the pool for swimming!

Friendship Week Begins!

Make new friends but keep the old.  This phrase shined through today as kids had a chance to really show off their friendship skills.  We talked about ways to be a good friend and how to treat other people.

We had a special presentation from Colby, who is a soldier, and everyone got a special friendship coin from him which was a neat treat.

Everyone had a chance to leave their mark at camp as we work on designing a whole camp puzzle!  Each camper is designing a puzzle piece and when they are all complete, we will become one as the pieces fit together.

Please remember permission slips for our last field trip:

A Little Rain Won’t Stop the Fun!

Unfortunately, today’s weather prevented us from being able to go to the pool. However, we made the most of the wet day with some fun activities to wrap up transportation week.

There were dry options under the tent and inside, but many campers braved the rain and had fun at the field as well.

Next week’s theme is Hollywood week! Our authors will be Chris Van Allsburg, Dr. Seuss and others who have written books that became movies. We will be going to the theater to see Monsters University.

***Please send in this permission slip for next Thursday’s Movie in Bellingham.

Next Friday, at 9:30, we will have our Annual Talent Show before we head to the pool. Parents and families are welcome to join us to see the fabulous talent we have here at camp.
