Everyone is Turning into a Scientist This Week!

There are lots of experiments and activities going on at camp this week in a variety of scientific areas.  Kids were making tornados in a bottle and listening to a great presentation about volcanoes (thanks Joe!).

They were also testing gravity and buoyancy making penny boats.  Someone was even able to make a boat that held over 100 pennies while staying afloat! We also got a little messy after listening to Dr. Seuss’ Bartholomew and the Oobleck by making our own gooey oobleck!

We also learned how to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star in TWO languages…English and Sign Language!  More scientific discoveries to come!

Please remember to send in the permission slip for Thursday’s field trip to the Museum of Science.

Bodies Back in Motion Today!

We had lots of activities on the field including parachute games, baseball, and soccer. We have had some great presentations this week about hiking and bicycles done by some of our CITs. Thanks Joe, George, and Matthew! Our Sunshine Grocery Store opened for business today and there were lots of shoppers looking for healthy foods to buy. At arts and crafts, campers were busy making medals and torches (just like at the Olympics).

We are excited for our trip to Hopkinton State Park tomorrow where our muscles will help us paddle around the lake!  Remember to come to camp with your camp tshirt, but also your swimsuit and towel.

Guinea Pigs for Sale!

Guinea Pigs For Sale!

We are looking to find a good home for guinea pigs. They are six weeks old and ready to leave mom and dad. One is male and one is female. They have been handled a lot and given a lot of love.
