Plans, Trains, and Automobiles

We were busy with our planes, trains, and automobiles today.  We had a fabulous presentation about trains from Joe and an exciting presentation about bikes from Matthew.

Some campers designed their own planes and rocket ships while others played a game in which they learned about countries all around the world.

Tomorrow we head to Hopkinton State Park to set sail on kayaks.  Please remember to send permission slips and to wear camp tshirts.  Please have children dressed in swimsuits tomorrow morning and have them wear shoes that are good for the water (flip flops, water shoes, etc).

Transportation Week Begins!

Last week ended with a much needed trip to the pool to cool off after a hot week! The trip to the pool ended with a delicious Popsicle treat! Knowing that we needed to eat them quickly before they melted was a great end to a fascinating week of science.

Transportation week is off and running despite a wet start. Luckily, the rain stopped just after the start of camp and we were able to have all of our normal outside activities. The kids traveled all over the world after making passports. They went by boat, car, plane, and train. Tomorrow the travels continue!

Our field trip is to Hopkinton State Park for kayaking and swimming. Please remember to send in permission slips as soon as possible.

**There are lots of unclaimed/unlabeled clothes. If your child is missing something (shorts, shirts, underwear, and socks), please let us know so we can send the clothes home.**

**PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE PEANUT FREE AT CAMP.**

We Beat the Heat at the Ecotarium Today!

We beat the heat at the Ecotarium today.  We had a great time exploring all of the exhibits in the museum.  There were all sorts of hands-on activities for the children to explore.

We also had an awesome ride on the train as well and we were even able to spot the red fox while on the ride.

Each group had a chance to experience a show in the planetarium.  Group one saw The Secret of the Cardboard Rocket and seemed to really enjoy it.  Group two saw Passport to the Universe and had a chance to learn a lot about space.

Turns out we are all made of “star stuff.”  Tomorrow we head to the pool which will be a perfect end to a hot week!
