We hope to see you this Sunday to support our Sunshine Social Sensory Jump Fundraiser at Urban Air! This is a great opportunity to support our program financially, for new families to meet the directors and ask any questions, and for returning students and families to get together before the summer starts. You do not need to be a current Sunshine Group family to attend. We welcome families from prior years to return and visit with us, as well as new or prospective families! We would love to answer any questions you may have about our program. If you plan on joining us, you can fill out the waiver online ahead of time, or online/ on paper when you arrive.

Sunshine Sensory Jump / Fundraiser / Meet and Greet at Urban Air FAQs:

• When? Where? – 8:30 a.m. at Urban Air in Bellingham (189 Mechanic Street, Bellingham MA)
• What is the cost of the event? $20 per child (usually $29.99), Adults are free! If you have Urban Air socks, wear them to the event! Socks cost $3.99 and are not included.
• What attractions will be open? Everything on the ground will be open. The harnessed attractions are closed until 10am (Zipline, Ropes course, and climbing walls) The arcade will be closed to cut down on lights and sounds until 10am.
• Can we stay after the meet and greet? After 10 am, you are welcome to stay as long as you would like. For the $20 price you will be given the $29.99 Deluxe wristbands. At 10am Urban Air can upgrade anyone who would like to use the harnessed attractions for $6.
• Can I drop off my kids? This is not a drop-off event. A Parent/ guardian/ babysitter is required – we will have some staff present but we are unable to staff the event as a drop-off event. Thank you for your understanding!

The Little Gym of Medway MA is partnering with Macaroni Kid to host a Family Fun Day! There will be games, music, food and more! More details and vendors coming soon! The Sunshine Group will be there as well! If you are able to attend, please stop by our table to say hi!

Sunshine Social Sensory Jump at Urban Air in Bellingham

We are excited to announce that as part of our partnership with Urban Air, we will be hosting a Sunshine Social Sensory Jump at Urban Air in Bellingham. This event will serve several functions: It will be an opportunity for our students and families to come together in the off season, serve as a chance for new families to meet the admin team and ask questions about our program, and it will also support The Sunshine Group as a fundraiser since it will contribute to our Urban Air Field Trip.  Thank you in advance for your support of this event! Details:

• Sunday April 13, 8:30 – 10:00 am at Urban Air Bellingham, 189 Mechanic Street, Bellingham

• Children will have access to trampolines, warrior course, play structure, dodgeball and basketball trampolines. (Attractions with a harness are closed until 10 a.m. and can be used for a $6 upgraded wristband at 10:00).

Looking for Help with Community Outreach

In addition to the updated information about the Summer 2025 Session, we are hoping that you can help us with some community outreach! We are continuing to work on developing partnerships with local businesses and looking for community support to fund scholarships for families who cannot afford our program. If your company matches donations, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our program! Or, if you have a connection with a local business, please consider printing and bringing our donation letter to your favorite Medway businesses. We appreciate your help to spread the word around the community. Every little bit helps!

Hello Sunshine Families,

Thank you for another amazing summer! The Sunshine Group had so much fun during our 6 weeks together. We are so grateful that you are a part of our program. The summer would not be the same without your children! We have enjoyed seeing their smiles, cheering on their successes, watching them try new things, and seeing them make new friends. We are very proud of all that they have accomplished this summer!

As always, a highlight of the summer was the talent show. Thank you for showing up in record numbers to cheer on your child and their friends! We love showcasing our students’ many talents and giving them an opportunity to shine! And another thank you for your attendance and support at the end-of-year carnival, especially our volunteers who helped run the food stations and the dunk tank!

We are also very thankful for the Town of Medway’s support of our program through a budget increase that made a large impact on our program this summer. The increased budget has allowed us to include more children in our program, improve student-to-staff ratios, and has allowed us to recruit and hire experienced staff members with experience working with children with disabilities.

We’d also like to give a shout-out to our amazing sponsors! Charles River Bank supported our program by donating our t-shirts, and The Little Gym in Medway made a generous donation to our program as well! We are looking forward to collaborating with both businesses in the future. If you have any connections with other Medway businesses or organizations, please let us know! We are always looking to form new partnerships. Donations allow us to enrich our program, offer scholarships to families in need, and help us to afford special activities during the summer.

Lastly, The Sunshine Group wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated staff. They have worked hard this summer, and we are proud to share them with you in the off-season! If you are in need of childcare, many counselors are available to babysit throughout the school year. Please contact them with this 2024 Sunshine Group Babysitters List!
