Experiments Galore!

Today was a day filled with experiments, crafts, and explosions!

Red Group made slime, rainbows and paint bags. They played parachute games too!

Orange Group made marshmallow towers and lava lamps. In the field they played nucleus tag and rockets.

Yellow and Green Groups played a coding field game, secret lab, predator versus prey, and hot potato with a wet sponge! During craft they made their own bouncy balls, kaleidoscopes, and robots.

At the end of the day, everyone got together to see a presentation put on by the Yellow and Green Group counselors and kids – it was exploding Coke and mentos!

Science Show!

Today, Atomic Alan visited the Sunshine Group to put on a show for us! It was an amazing mix of presentation and participation from kids. His show was all about gravity and energy. He used things like tennis balls, ping pong balls, weights, string, and plates to show how it all works!

All of the Groups had a chance to participate in all of our normal activities such as experiments, crafts, field games, and choice. These blocks of time were just shortened to accommodate for the show. Rockets, bubbles, lava lamps, and slime were just a few of the highlights. We can’t wait for another fun science day tomorrow!

Families, please remember to bring back the waivers for Urban Air! If you need one printed, we have copies for you.
