Today was Sunshine’s first day of Character Week!

Our kids had tons of fun participating in crafts, stories, games, and face painting relating to their favorite characters. Red group made steering wheel crafts and drove around with them on the basketball court before heading to the playground. Orange group drove RC cars, played in the sandbox, and had fun on the waterslide. Yellow group played with playdough, ran a relay, and made SpongeBob sponges. Finally, the green group made superhero masks after playing red light green light and musical hula hoops!

We’re looking forward to another day of Character Week tomorrow!

On Friday, The Sunshine Group had an amazing day at the pond! The weather was beautiful and it was nice to cool down in the water. We had so much fun! There was a swim test to help children decide if they needed a life jacket or if they could swim without one. Some children used their life jackets or borrowed one and went right in the water instead of waiting to do the swim test. There was also a playground to play on. It was an awesome day!

Whew! Another hot day for our Sunshine Group kiddos. We managed to cool off through a variety of beachy crafts and water games!

Red group dug in the sandbox, read stories, and painted seashell creatures before cooling off on the waterslide. Orange group opened a sandbox kitchen, enjoyed making scratch art, and showed their creativity with watercolor paints. Yellow group made sand cupcakes in orange group’s kitchen, made salt art, and beat the heat with squirter relays. Finally, Green group made sunglasses out of pipe cleaners, crushed an obstacle course, and played drip-drip-drop!
