Wacky Wednesday!!

It has been a wild and wacky week here at camp.  Campers have turned into brilliant scientists planting seeds, mixing colors, building roller coasters, and trying out creations with an egg drop project.  We also launched a diet coke and mentos rocket on the field before heading to mini-sessions where we learned about Taekwondo, Dance, Music, Transformers, Football, Rocks and Abstract Color.

Tomorrow we head to the museums and we cannot wait!  Please remember red camp tshirts and sneakers!  Also, tomorrow is an extended day with an expected return time of 2pm.  Please pack snack, drink, and lunch!

FIELD TRIP LOCATIONS AND TIMES:

Week Two: Boston Museums: 2pm
Week Three: Southwick’s Zoo: 12:30pm
Week Four: Movies: 12:30pm
Week Five: One Stop Fun: at least 1pm (official time to be confirmed soon)
Week Six: Hopkinton State Park: 12:30pm

New Friendships Made!

Build-A-Bear Workshop was an absolute blast and a great success.  The children had a wonderful time making the choice of what their new friend would look like, stuffing it, and becoming its protector.  They were able to choose an accessory for their new friend and got a fun backpack (red to match our camp shirts) to carry their new friend!

Tomorrow we head to the pool for swimming!  Please send children in swimwear, if possible.

Next week’s theme is Wacky Week and it should be full of wonderful, creative ideas!

Important Camp Sunshine Fundraising Meeting This Thursday!

Hello Camp Sunshine Supporters!!!

Its hard to believe that Camp Sunshine will be starting in just 3 months. My kids have had the best experience at Camp Sunshine.

During the winter, some of us have spoken with Barbara, the Director, about raising money for Camp Sunshine. Barbara has some great ideas and plans for the Camp and we need to raise some money to support this effort.  As you know we have the Walk-a-Thon in May – if you can’t walk, please think about sponsoring a walker. We would also like to do some additional fundraising activities such as a night at Papa Gino’s or TC Scoops, etc.

Where:  Medway Public Library in The Cole Room (downstairs)
When:  Thursday, April 16th fom 7 – 8 pm
What:  Discussing additional fundraising activities to support Camp Sunshine

Please RSVP if you are able to make it.

Thanks in advance,

Joy (mom to Katie and Corey)
