Stars Shined at Annual Talent Show Performance!

The stars were shining at camp today!  We had fabulous performances at the talent show today including singing, dancing, magic, and much more!

The show opened with a great performance of the Star Spangled Banner, then there were some great group performances, somersaults, jumping, a solo performance of “Let It Go,” flute playing, xylophones, card tricks, magic tricks, Irish step dance, the Cup Song, and we finished off with a staff/camper dance to the Cupid Shuffle.

At the end of the show, we climbed on the buses and headed off to the pool.  The water was a bit cool at first, but it was a great day for a refreshing dip in the pool!

Next week’s theme is Science and we will be heading to the Science Museum and Children’s Museum in Boston.  Permission slips will be posted when available.

Special Visitors and Performances Today!

Today was a positively amazing day at camp sunshine!  We had special visitors, special performances, and lots of fun and smiles.

First, our day started with a very exciting performance from Mike, the Bubble Man (mikethebubbleman.com) who taught us lots about the world of bubbles and even put some campers inside a bubble!  Then, we carried on with our music week activities which included performances by Nate, Zach, Joe, and Matthew who played music for us all day. Our camp fun ended with a marching band in which campers showed off their awesome instruments!

Tomorrow we head to the movies!  Please remember camp shirts, sneakers, and snack!  We will be back to camp by noon.

Also, remember that our talent show is at 9:30 on Friday!

Music All Around Camp!

We marched to the beat of our own drums today (literally)!

Music was everywhere and in so many different styles and varieties.  There were homemade guitars, drums, and maracas.  Groups did rhythm circles in which they created music using their hands, feet, and voices.  Some campers became rock stars with colorful wigs, boas, microphones, and more!

We had some special musicians with us today including Jerry and his saxophone, Joe and his guitar, Matthew and his keyboard, and Dave and his clarinet.  The children had a chance to hear and learn about these instruments.  Tomorrow, we will have even more musicians playing all day.

A reminder that our field trip is to the movie theater this week and we will be back at noon. Make sure to send in this permission slip

Our annual talent show will be this Friday at 9:30 and we invite families to join us for this event.  We will head to the pool as soon as the show is finished.
