Pool Fun in the Sunshine

Friday’s Sunshine Report

Everyone was so excited for our first full pool day this summer!

We all had so much fun splashing around, some of us had fun playing catch with beach balls. Other members of the Yellow and Green Groups did a great job passing the swim test, showing some Olympic swimming skills – it was a great way to cool off after a long, hot week!

Week 3 will be devoted to Nature, Water and Science and the field trip on Thursday will be to Hopkinton State Park.

First Day at the Pool!

We started with some cloudy skies and cooler temperatures, but the weather turned around once we got to the pool.  The water was a bit chilly, but the campers adjusted quickly and had a fabulous time in the water!  They were busy splashing, swimming, playing, and continuing to develop friendships.  It was a wonderful way to end a fun-filled first week!

Next week’s theme is Wacky Week (some science, some silliness, and more).

Please see the wish list below.  If you are interested in making contributions to camp, this list offers you an idea of what we need most.

Have a wonderful weekend and get ready to be wacky!

Stars Shined at Annual Talent Show Performance!

The stars were shining at camp today!  We had fabulous performances at the talent show today including singing, dancing, magic, and much more!

The show opened with a great performance of the Star Spangled Banner, then there were some great group performances, somersaults, jumping, a solo performance of “Let It Go,” flute playing, xylophones, card tricks, magic tricks, Irish step dance, the Cup Song, and we finished off with a staff/camper dance to the Cupid Shuffle.

At the end of the show, we climbed on the buses and headed off to the pool.  The water was a bit cool at first, but it was a great day for a refreshing dip in the pool!

Next week’s theme is Science and we will be heading to the Science Museum and Children’s Museum in Boston.  Permission slips will be posted when available.
