Parent Volunteers Needed for Annual Carnival on Friday, 8/12

The Carnival fun starts at 9:30 am on Friday 8/12! We are looking for parent volunteers to help run stations such as cotton candy, bouncy houses, sno-cones, dunk tank, popcorn, and more.

Week 5, Day 4: Final Day at the Pool

The end of animal week was filled with fun and excitement! The aquarium was an awesome adventure as we learned about penguins, sea lions, lots of different fish, eels, rays, and more. There was a turtle in the big tank that was bigger than some of the kids and some groups were lucky enough to see an aquarium worker dressed as a scuba diver feeding all the fish.

There were so many penguins to check out!

Today, we spent our last day at the pool and the weather was beautiful! Everyone had a great time splashing, swimming, and playing with all the friends that they have made this summer!

Next week’s theme is TRANSPORTATION and our field trip will be to Hopkinton State Park for kayaking and swimming. Permission slips will be posted on the website this weekend.

Week 5, Day 2: A Trip Around the World

Animal masks turned the yellow group into some cool animals!

Monkeys were one of the sights to see on the Sunshine Safari!

A gray wolf made an appearance in the woodland habitat!

Orange group was drawing some of their favorite animals!

The Sunshine Group traveled all over the world today as we learned about various types of animals. We went from the wetlands to the woodlands to the jungle to the arctic and everywhere in between! We learned about how polar bears and penguins stay warm in the cold climate they live in. We turned into lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) by creating masks! We even tried to act like certain animals to have our friends guess in a fun game of animal charades! The highlight of the day, however, may have been the amazing safari designed by the green group and some CITs and volunteers that took us to the homes of many different animals!

Tomorrow, we head to the New England Aquarium. Please remember permission slips, orange t-shirts, sneakers, snack, and lunch (lunch is eaten on the bus, in small quarters, please remember we are PEANUTE FREE !!). We will be back by 2pm!
