A Special Summer Program Bringing Smiles to Children Since 1968
We had fantastic weather for a day on the water!
Everyone had fun kayaking, swimming, investigating islands, playing at the beach, building sand castles and floating around with all of our friends! Tomorrow we will go to the pool!
It was Olympic Day today for The Sunshine Group!
Red Group had a fun time participating in the events, along with playing on the park, sandbox, and our favorite, water activities! We had a fun time and can’t wait to go boating and swimming tomorrow!
The Orange Group started at crafts by making jerseys, Olympic torches, and puppet sport players! We had a great time at the Olympics too!
The Yellow Group played soccer and then cooled off with a classic “drip drip drop!” We also made medals and popsicle stick skateboards before the Olympics!
Green Group ran an amazing whole group Olympic games for us! The games included fencing, sail boating, water archery, basketball, soccer, an obstacle course, weight lifting, gymnastics, hurdles, and mini-golf!!
We are so excited to go kayaking and swimming tomorrow!! Remember to wear sunscreen, bathing suits, yellow shirts and water shoes!
**Please fill out a waiver if you think your child might kayak. Otherwise they will not be able to change their minds.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: If your child wants to kayak, they will have to fill out a waiver IN ADDITION to the permission slip.
Students that do not kayak (or forget their waivers) will spend the day at a swimming beach at Hopkinton State Park.
Today was a great first day of Olympic week!
Today the Red Group had fun playing extreme water sports playing in the water slide and with squirt guns! We adventured to the playground and played soccer in the field! We also did a chalk obstacle course on the basketball court!
The Orange Group made paper plate medals and foam fingers at craft time! Then we made Olympic ring glasses, or swimming goggles! In the field we cooled off with a game of “drip drip drop!”
The Yellow Group loved playing kickball with the green group! We also played capture the medal and made our own sport balls!
The Green Group played water tag on this hot day! We made some cool crafts like Olympic torches, paper plate sport balls, and Olympic rings! We also raced soap boats! Green Group also prepared for tomorrows whole-group Olympic event!
