Music All Around Camp!

We marched to the beat of our own drums today (literally)!

Music was everywhere and in so many different styles and varieties.  There were homemade guitars, drums, and maracas.  Groups did rhythm circles in which they created music using their hands, feet, and voices.  Some campers became rock stars with colorful wigs, boas, microphones, and more!

We had some special musicians with us today including Jerry and his saxophone, Joe and his guitar, Matthew and his keyboard, and Dave and his clarinet.  The children had a chance to hear and learn about these instruments.  Tomorrow, we will have even more musicians playing all day.

A reminder that our field trip is to the movie theater this week and we will be back at noon. Make sure to send in this permission slip

Our annual talent show will be this Friday at 9:30 and we invite families to join us for this event.  We will head to the pool as soon as the show is finished.

We’ve Reached the Halfway Point of the Summer

We have reached the halfway point of the summer!  It is hard to believe that three weeks have come and gone and that there are only three weeks left!  We are all having so much fun that the time is flying by!

Today, we enjoyed another beautiful, sunny day at the pool!  The campers continued to show off their fish-like swimming abilities in the pool!  There were lots of big smiles on little faces as they gave their counselors a little splash of cold water before everyone was fully used to the water.

Next week’s theme is Music which will involve singing, dancing, and playing different instruments. We will also be having some special presentations that will add some extra excitement to the week!

The field trip next week is to the movie theater in Bellingham to see Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue.  Please send in this PERMISSION SLIP.

Everyone Had a Blast at One Stop Fun Today!

We bounced and slid and splashed our way through One Stop Fun Today!

There were ball pits, tunnels and slides to maneuver in the indoor playground.  After that, Group 1 spent some time on trampolines and balance beams while Group 2 headed into the pool with a water fall and slide!

Halfway through the two groups switched so everyone had a chance to experience all parts of the place.  There were smiles all around and everyone seemed to have lots of fun!
