A “Beary” Good Time Today!

Our first field trip of the summer was a huge success!  Both groups had lots of fun building bears.

Group 1 enjoyed a chance to play with their new friends at an indoor playground at the mall while Group 2 had the chance to walk around the cranberry bogs at Bass Pro Shop.

There were smiles all around as campers made the tough choice of which teddy bear to pick and then made another tough choice when the t-shirt/accessory options were made available.  It seems like everyone was satisfied with their choices!

A Little Heat Won’t Stop the Fun!

It was another hot one today, but that did not stop the fun and excitement we are already experiencing at camp!

We had shaving cream artists hard at work creating beautiful masterpieces, there were t-shirts hanging from the tent displaying uniforms for careers that some of our campers hope to have when they get older, we had awesome grocers running the store which was always busy with hungry shoppers, and we made sure to stay cool with some water activity throughout the day as well.

There were some awesome interactive demonstrations today where our campers were able to learn dance, karate, field hockey, fencing, and firefighting. The pictures below are from the dancing and fencing demonstrations!

Tomorrow we are off on our first field trip! Please remember camp t-shirt, sneakers, snack, lunch, and water!  We return to camp at 1pm.

First Day of Camp – When I Grow UP

The summer is off to a fantastic start!  Kids showed up ready and excited to go!

This week’s theme is “When I Grow UP” with a lot of activities geared towards careers, uniforms, responsibilities and other things that go along with the jobs.  We had firefighters, grocery workers, investigators, artists, singers, dancers, doctors, and more!

Some of our staff members took time to prepare presentations on different activities in which they participate.  This included dancing, karate, field hockey, fencing, and firefighting.  We also took time to keep cool with water activities throughout the morning. The fun continues tomorrow!
