A Great Start for Camp Sunshine Group 2015!

Day one at camp sunshine was a HUGE success!  Everyone was introduced to their counselors and had a chance to get used to the routine of the morning (backpacks in the bins, circle time, activities, reading/snack, more activities, circle).

There were many opportunities to make new friends and connect with some familiar faces as well!  Groups have been busy creating a friendship tree, making friendship bracelets, playing blob tag, and trying some “get to know you” games.  All in all it has been a fun-filled morning and we are off to a great start!

A Beautiful Day at Hopkinton State Park!

Our final field trip of the summer was a huge success!  We had kayakers, super swimmers, and explorers.

We set out on the lake at Hopkinton State Park and it was a beautiful day to explore the water and the islands.  Some of our campers really got a workout paddling their kayak while others sat back and let their counselors do all of their hard work!  However, they all had big smiles on their faces.

Others made their way to the beach and spent the morning swimming!  Kayakers had a break when they made it to the islands and had a chance to do a little exploring.  All in all it was a wonderful day on the lake. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of camp.  The six weeks have gone by so fast because we have been having such a blast!

Tomorrow is the carnival and, as always, families are welcome to join us from 9:30 to noon for the carnival fun!
