A Special Summer Program Bringing Smiles to Children Since 1968
The Sunshine Group was filled with shining stars today! From the green and yellow group members who helped with stage design and set up, to the songs and dances and talents galore, the day was a huge success! A few of the group acts are shown below. More talent show pictures will be included in the end of the summer DVD!
Please remember to wear orange shirt and sneakers tomorrow for the trip to the theater. We will return by 12:30 and the bus routes will start quickly after that.
The levels of fame only grew today! Musicians, artists, athletes, and more were shining all over today! Activities today included a presentation on music, a parade, dressing up with a fashion show and making their own costumes, and they even signed autographs in books they created!
Part of the morning was spent in rehearsals in preparation for tomorrow’s talent show, which is scheduled to start at 11 am. The stars will be shining tomorrow with acts that include singers, dancers, magicians and more!

Today, our week of FAME begins! Everyone has a chance to be famous this week as singers, dancers, artists, athletes, and more! At the field, groups worked to create a picture of themselves as someone famous using chalk on the basketball court. Other groups had the chance to think about what they might like to wear if they were walking the red carpet and some of them designed some amazing outfits! Groups worked hard to prepare for this week’s Talent Show (which is this Thursday at 11am! – please join us!).
This week’s field trip to the Walpole Children’s Theater is on Friday (not Thursday). Please bring in the permission slip:
